Retool for 2016?

Palin, the GOP’s 2008 vice presidential nominee, brought down the house during Saturday’s closing session, giving a rip-roaring speech that lambasted President Barack Obama, political operatives and the news media. She took a jab at New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s drive to downsize sugary drinks when she drank from a Super Big Gulp.

“Let’s be clear about one thing, we’re not here to rebrand the party, we’re here to rebuild a country,” Palin said.

“The conservative movement is more put together and more unified than it was in those fractured days of Carter,” Ryan said. “I see a unifying of purpose, I see a conservative movement working to make sure that we can connect the vision with people and putting up a principled alternative to liberal progressivism, otherwise known as Obamaism in most minds.”
